Title: Looking for the final 2x Great Grandmother
Post by: Mr.Peabody on Saturday 19 March 22 12:18 GMT (UK)
Quite new to this and just starting with my Irish ancestors, but can't seem to find my 2x Great Grandmother and would appreciate any insights from the community. She was the wife (I assume) of Samuel Patterson who may have lived in Ferney. Samuel had a daughter in 1852, Anne Patterson, who married Robert Pursley in 1872 and they had several children. I can't seem to find any extended information on Samuel Patterson, or anything at all on Anne mother.  ???

Any leads from those experienced in looking at records from this place and time would be great.

Hi

The only likely father Samuel Patterson (farmer) that I see in Irvinestown was Samuel, a widower, who died age 84 at Drumboarty(?), Irvinestown.  Son Thomas was the Informant.

Looking back four years to 1901 Census, there's a widower Samuel Patterson in Drumboarty, with son Thomas 30 and daughters Maggie 34 and Mary Anne 31.

Is this your Samuel?

Regards
