Found this photo in my late father's attic. He has named the subject as his grandmother but it isn't dated. I'm guessing around 1890.
Can anyone confirm this? Also is the photo likely to have been taken outdoors or in a studio? And would such photo sessions have been expensive at the time?
Thank you

Hi Roberto, Welcome to RootsChat :)
I am sorry but there was no image attached to your posting, can you try again ?

Any details of the photographer (front or back of picture) would possibly help to narrow down the date.

Hi Roberto and welcome to Rootschat, If you re-attach the photo you will need to rename the file, and it needs to be below 500kbs.

Have tried on three occasions and on two devices. I keep getting the same error message.

Make sure to clear the attachment field when you try to attach the photo, only click to attach it once, don't double click. Rename the file and make sure it is below 500kbs and it should be ok.

Tried all this, same result. No problems with other sites. Thank you anyway.

If it's under 500kb and is a jpg or png file type it, it should upload. To make sure that the name is unique to Rootschat add a date or your initials to the file name - e.g Roberto123030422.
Alternatively, if it is on another site, give the link url .
