Title: QUESTION ..1776 Birth in Falkirk,Stirling
Post by: ajjbc on Thursday 21 April 22 15:55 BST (UK)
I have a 1776 birth registered in Falkirk,Stirling it gives the childs name, with the word "Natural" beside it, and then the parents names.
....but....all the other birth names  have the word "Lawful".
Question...is my child illegitimate, which I am sort of leaning towards.

The word 'Natural' would indicate, as you think, that the birth of the baby was to unmarried parents.

Since the child was illegitimate, you should also look to see if there is any mention of the matter in the minutes of the kirk session.
