Are you looking on Anc?   This is a link to the parish in 1851 Enumeration District 6a https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageviewer/collections/8861/images/MGYHO107_2499_2499-1194?ssrc=&backlabel=Return&pId=15319508  You can look at the next ED 6b by changing the District at the top of the page

Is that Edward Humphreys the platelayer from Berriew?

If so, wife Ann(e) was from Llanfyllin per the 1871 and 1881 censuses (Llanwddyn in 1891 could be a mistranscription).

If you can find the children's birth registrations the online GRO index should give you her maiden name.

I noticed on 1891 it was given as Llanwddyn and 1911 given as Llanuddyn
there is a possible birth of daughter Elizabeth in june qtr 1869 reg at Dolgelly , on the census her birth was given as Dyffryn Adudwy which might come under Dolgelly at that time ?
I didn't think maiden names were shown at that time ?

Elizabeth was 2 in the 1871 census so possibly the birth registered in Dolgelly in 1Q 1869 mmn Evans.
Edward born Llanbedr circa 1871/2 was possibly the birth registered in Ffestiniog in 1871 mmn Evans
Thomas was born circa 1872/3 in Llanbedr so should also be registered in Ffestiniog but the only possibilities there are mmn Price or Rees

There is a Edward Humphreys/ Ann Evans marriage in Llanfyllin in 1863 but that seems a bit early.

Just to add, there are other Humphrey/Evans births which would fit with that 1863 Llanfyllin marriage so may not be your Ann.

I like that 1851 census which says she is 8 but almost looks like a 6 . Can anyone read the address ? I presume it is in Welsh .

the family were at Glanrhyd in 1841 and there's a burial in Llanwddyn 28 Aug 1849 Edward Evans 51 address Glanrhyd. New House is on the same census page as Glanrhyd so looks to be the Glan y rhyd here as Tan y fron is also on the same page. A couple of miles from the lake.

possible marriage Llanfihangel yng Ngwynfa 5 June 1824 Edward Evans otp & Elizabeth Williams of Llanfyllin, consent given by Evan Williams (her age on census entries shows she would have been under 21 at the time) witnesses Griffith Evans & John Williams, all sign except Elizabeth.
The Banns for the marriage note Edward of Park.
Baptisms same parish
17 April 1825 Edward, son of Edward Evans, labourer of Park bach, and Elizabeth his wife.
21 Jan 1827 William, son of Edward, labourer, and Elizabeth Evans of Park bach - haven't found burial as yet.
17 May 1829 Richard, son of Edward, park keeper, and Elizabeth Evans of Park

Thank you , I will look into these . Where is Park bach or Park ? I see in 1841 Edward is a farmer at Llanwyddn , did he move up the ladder from a " park keeper " ?

Park bach here

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01rx0/

He may have been a farmer of just a few acres and just about getting by. His widow is noted as pauper on the 1851 census.

Thanks , I didn't think that word looked like " pauper " .I am wondering if Edward's grave was one of those exhumed before flooding ?

I think you'd need to ask the church about that. I doubt there would have been a gravestone.
The word does appear to have 2 ps but think it's meant to be pauper, the elderly widow next door has same word.

I did look on " Findagrave " for a stone for Edward  and also Ellis Evans died aged 14 { Ann's brother } who died in 1853 but no joy , perhaps the cost was against it .
