Probably very unlikely but looking for a burial for Maud Elizabeth Lumb (lamb) who died in the district hospital Cork December 21 1918. Death registered January 10th 1919.
When I say unlikely she was living in Bournemouth England so may have been on holiday at the time. So it could be her body was returned home.
Thank you

Be surprised if she was returned home as it was in the middle of the Spanish flu pandemic.
EDIT
Probate entry shows her death as 4.1.1919

Oh interesting thank you for your observations

The death says she was married.
What was her maiden name?
Maggsie
-
She wasn’t !!!!! Her probate indicates she was a spinster. There is a story
Down as married in 1911.

Hi ,
I had a look at some of the burials in Cork for various cemeteries which are online at the
www.corkarchives.ie and I did find a burial for Maud.
This is the entry however it is not very clear. it states she is a widow on the burial entry. Difficult to read what her occupation is listed as.
https://publications.corkarchives.ie/view/173026802/172/#zoom=true If you have difficulty reading this go into website www.corkarchives.ie then click on online collections then cemeteries then St. Finbarrs cemetery for years 1908-1920 and it's page 172. I did have to scroll from Dec 21 when she died up to January but finally found her.
Hope this helps
Mary
She is buried at St. Finbarr's cemetery, Glasheen Road, Cork in Section G North Row 7 Grave 15. There might not be any headstone..

In the ‘informants’ column (third from right) does it say “Singleton as the signature and ‘close companion?
Any ideas please
