I've found this reference to a 'marriage notice' at Family Search. I'd like to know Adam's father's name - any ideas where this 'notice' might be - I can't see anything in British Newspaper Archive.
Thanks.
Wedding notice is dated 25 Sept 1870 at Tewkesbury

The father on his marriage cert is John a gardener, witness is Job who is probably his brother. It is not hard to find them in census records at Bredon.
Debra :)

The 'marriage notice' is a reference to the banns which were called on September 11, 18 and 25. It is on page 329 of the register.

Thanks - can you tell me where you saw the image of the marriage record so I can download in future.

The marriage and banns are on Ancestry.
Adam is 30, a bachelor and labourer of Hughes' Alley, father John WILLIAMS a gardener
Caroline is 27, a spinster and shoe fitter of Crooked Alley, father John FREEMAN, also a gardener
Witnesses Job WILLIAMS and Sarah WILLIAMS.
Caroline signed, the others all made their mark.

Perfect! Thank you. :)
-
Sorry - is the date of marriage 25 Sept 1870 - same as last day of banns ?
-
Sorry, I should have said, it was 2 October 1870 at the parish church of Tewkesbury.

Lastly the 1870 witnesses were likely Adams Brother as noted by Debra earlier and his Wife Sarah, nee ATTWODD (married 1862 Glous)
