Dear all,
I have seen trees with William Westbrook Dobby married to Esther Caroline Sparrowhawk, Q Mar 1853 in Gateshead (Vol 10a, Page 519).
Would anyone have access to the details of this marriage at all?
Many thanks,
Emma

Thank you for your replies - the Sparrowhawk family were from Southwark, but yes, they did travel around a lot at this stage.
I'm pleased you seem to have picked up the same records I have - makes me hopeful I'm on the right path!

This baptism is intriguing
Esther Sparrowhawk
Birth Date 6 Feb 1827
Baptism Date 9 Aug 1846, Wesley Hall, Ancoats, Lancashire
Father Name Thomas Sparrowhawk
Mother Name Maria Sparrowhawk - daughter of Thomas and Maria Pinnock
Address: Brougham St, Manchester
There's a marriage for Thomas Sparrowhawk and Maria Pinnock in Soho in 1815, plus baptisms of a number of children older than Esther in and around London
Not sure who Ann on 1841 would be

I'm not certain who Ann is either. I've always put it down to enumeration error.
Maria passed away in 1846 and by 1851, Thomas (hatter) was a lodger in Scotland. His birth year was around 1792, so is out on the 1841 census.
