Title: JAMES EDWARD CLUTTERBUCK
Post by: wildcats13 on Monday 10 July 23 08:46 BST (UK)
Hi, I have been trying to confirm details for a friend, of his Grandfather & Great Grandfather with only minor success. I found the 1911 Census for his grandfather, James Edward Clutterbuck who appears to have married a Elizabeth Beatrice Clutterbuck, whose parents were John Clutterbuck & Caroline Small, but could only find where James was born in 1883 in Birmingham, but unable to confirm who his parents were and details of his marriage.
Hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction
Regards,
Wildcats13

Just to confirm?
The 1911 Census shows a James and Elizabeth Clutterbuck with Harriet, 2 and James 0 - married 4 years - Birmingham. If this is the correct Census for "your" James (grandfather) -

Harriet's birth registration shows mother's maiden name as White

There is a 1907 marriage registration for James Clutterbuck and Elizabeth White. There's also a partial transcript of the marriage cert on FindMyPast -

James Clutterbuck, age 24, father James and Elizabeth White, age 26, father Henry married 31 Aug 1907, Birmingham.

Can you confirm 1911 census details.

A view of Garbett Street on the 1918 OS 25 inch map, which goes some way to explaining why someone might have an address like 1, back of 42, Garbett Street.
