Arthur R SMART birth registration is actually in 1904 (23805 ) at Manly - from Ancestry. However, there is an Arthur Raymond SMART at Manly on electoral rolls in the 1930 -1950s. :-\

a marriage of Arthur R SMART and Dorothy M BANN at Manly in 1934.
Also Marriage of Arthur Russell SMART and Dorothy Jean Adva CAMERON at Hillston in 1942.
Are these the same person? I see from his enlistment in WWII, Arthur Russell SMART of Hillston is born 6 Aug 1901.
I think these are definitely 2 different people. Which Arthur are you interested in - the one born Manly with parents Arthur and Mary Lola, or the one who died in Hillston 1978?

It certainly can be confusing.
There is a death of an Arthur Raymond SMART on 18 Oct 1971, aged 67 at Mona Vale, late of Balgowlah (near Manly). Will see if I can find the death notice.

"SMART, Arthur Raymond, Oct 18, 1971 at Mona Vale District Hospital, of 7 Lower Beach Street, Balgowlah, dearly loved husband of Dorothy, loved father of ... and ... father-in-law of ... and fond Pappy of ... aged 67 years."

There is a mention of Arthur Raymond SMART on trove (selling an airgun to a 12 year old) in 1954:

The marriage certificate of Florence SMART and Harold DARCY is on Ancestry. It names her parents as Arthur SMART and Lola McKAY.
There is a reference to Lola Mckay SMART of Manly aged 49 (in 1916) in the Police Gazette for selling liquor without a license. So born c1867.

I can't see a birth registration that fits unfortunately.
Also a Lola SMART has a couple of rings stolen in 1910 (of Farley, Raglan St, Manly)

There is a Lola McKAY married John CAMERON at Forbes in 1888. However I can't see a marriage for Arthur SMART to a Mary/Lola McKAY or CAMERON.
There is these births to John CAMERON and Lola M: (there may be more, it's a bit hard to tell as there are many John and Mary CAMERONs.

As you probably know, children born to Arthur SMART and Mary Lola at Manly are:
1900 Elizabeth
1902 Florence
1904 Arthur R
1905 Walter
1908 Reginald
These may not be the same Mary Lola McKAY, it seems strange to name 2 children Florence.
There is a death for a Lola SMART in 1956 at Wyong, however on the index it says her age is 75, which is a bit young compared to the Police Gazette entry, however, still a possibility.
Will keep digging. :D

If you have Florence SMART's birth certificate it should have her parent's marriage date. Is it possible to list here all the details on the birth certificate? :)

Here is an article about the liquor selling in 1916 - it says her age is 40.

This would make her too young to be marrying John CAMERON in 1888 at Forbes, so that may be simply a red herring. :-\

Interesting case where Lola SMART of Raglan St, Manly is applying for workers' compensation after the death of her husband Arthur from lead poisoning in 1927.

Lola Mary SMART is on the electoral roll at Waterloo in 1949 at 11 Grays Lane. At the same address is a couple of men named DARCY, possibly grandchildren? so this makes the death in 1956 look more likely, as the index says "aged 75 Waterloo", though the place of registration is Wyong. (Registration number 23304/1956) Very strange. It would be interesting to see who the informant was on the death certificate - if it was a DARCY.

It very strange I got birth certificate which say Arthur smart and Mary Lola McKay was married on September 27 1895

Difficult to find a birth registration for Mary Lola McKAY.
From Florence's birth certificate in 1902, Mary Lola is 29 years old, so born c1873 (and says in Forbes).
Police Gazette in 1916 - her age is either 40 or 49, so born c1867 or 1876.
Age on death certificate (assuming it is the correct one) in 1956 is 75, so born c1881.
The only birth I can see registered at Forbes in this time period is Ann McKAY (1867, parents Thomas and Bridget). Of course, the birth may not have been registered in Forbes. :-\
The death certificate is least likely to have the correct age (depends on what the informant knew). If Mary Lola was a bit older than Arthur SMART, she may have wanted to take a few years off her age. Still, perplexing.

Still looking for a birth for Mary Lola MCKAY and a marriage for Mary Lola McKAY and Arthur SMART on 27 Sept 1895. It would be interesting to see if the age of the mother and marriage date were consistent on all the children's birth certificates. Expensive quest though.

On birth certificate look like daughter Elizabeth 2 yrs
