Title: Peter hughes and mary feenie/pheenie
Post by: elaine gray on Monday 25 September 23 12:55 BST (UK)
Hi, this couple married in Edinburgh 1856.For some reason,  the marriage certificate doesn't show parents details.
I thought that all records after 1855 gave details. Would the details be in archives?if so, where would I go to find it?

Hi, SP, Shows as Peter Hews and Mary Feeny
This is a different record showing brides parents but not grooms. Peter is 27 and saying widower. So, was he brought up by others??? Orphan??? I'll now look into this more now thanks.
I'd seen that Ayrshire one, will look again.
This Peter is a 34cm dna match and finding his parents would be helpful.
Thanks again
