Below is an extract of my wife's family tree. Specifically, we would like to know more of the earlier families of John Grand and his wife Elizabeth Frost. Also, what happened in life for their daughter Louisa.
As part of the puzzle is the parentage of William Parlett. He, his wife Lucy and daughter Lilian emigrated to NZ. We have been unable to discover anything as to his family line. Please see below the info we have so far. Any help would be so helpful to us.

Lucy’s burial notice says Lucy was from Shropshire but marriage certificate to Meincke says born in Devonshire. However, the census above clearly shows that she was born at Barningham Winter in Norfolk.
William Parlett was a farm labourer in Norfolk and became a Commercial Traveller in New Zealand.
William (30 years old), Lucy (26) and Lilian Fanny (2 months) sailed on the “Christian McAusland” to Port Chalmers, Dunedin arriving 4 October 1874. They then went to Christchurch but then moved back to Dunedin around 1881-2.

Thank you so very much for that lead. It has certainly filled in many unknown blanks for me. Sibbie.

-You have the marriage ref but not the certificate??
-You don’t say what information is on any of the NZ births to William & Lucy
There should be a lot, and they would have given it. Not a third party who got it wrong.
Are they consistent over all the births.
However… the image for the marriage is on Ancestry. If you don’t have a sub, your local library probably does.

William Parlett was in Dunedin and Christchurch operating as a Commercial Traveller up until about 1885. He then disappeared from the scene. There is no record in the NZ BDM nor searches by Hocken a research unit of the Otago University of what happened to him. Hocken say that back in those times non reporting of deaths was not uncommon. On her re-marriage, Lucy's marriage certificate states that she was a widow,
