Hello - can anyone help me find out where the Kerr family went to between 1901 and c1920.
Robert John Kerr 1866 - 1939
Helena Warwick 1865-1934 (married 1888)
Children per 1901 census
Jessie Edith Mabel Kerr 1891 (she was a servant in 1911 and is the only one I can find a census record for)
Robert Charles Kerr 1893
Maud Vincent Kerr 1896 - 1944
Florence Lydia Kerr 1899 - 1977
note - these names and dates are right and verified in different ways - there is a similar family with similar childrens names that is not this family.
Father Robert John - after the 1901 record I can find nothing more for him except on sons wedding record - but then his occupation has changed from Farrier (taken from multiple records) to fireman.
Mother Helena, again nothing for her following the 1901 records.
Eldest daughter - Jessie - she was working at the Granville Hotel Marylebone London, 1911 (note her birthplace is India.) She married in 1912 and I can find her in the 1939 register. One child Peggy.
Son - Robert Charles Kerr - I have some record o him living in Kent in 1913, But nothing in the 1911 census.
Daughter Maud Vincent - nothing from the 1901 census to her marriage in 1924.
Daughter Florence Lydia Kerr (this is my direct relative that I am interested in) nothing from the 1901 census to the birth certificate of Johannes Coenen, her eldest son, born in Leicester. Note - her name is said to be Mary Florence Coenen formally Nowell, on the birth certificate - which I think is a mix of the father of Johannes actual wife at the time (Mary Jane Gay Nowell) and hers.
Did the family leave the country? Can you help me find them in the 1911 census? I am trying to piece how Florence got from Walthamstow in essex to Leicester and then to Manchester a few years later.
Many thanks for any help or suggestions Gail

Follow the 16th Lancers if the father was still in the Army they may have been in Ireland/Scotland or abroad somewhere in 1911.
-
From his army record, he transferred to the reserve 9 Sept 1897 and then discharged 20 June 1899. He was in India from 2 Sept 1890 to 8 April 1892.

Thanks Osprey.
Still can't find them 1911

me neither. There is a Robert J Kerr of the right age on a passenger list to New York in 1911 but he is a US citizen.

Thank you for trying - i am perplexed as to where they all were, however your help has meant I am even more sure this is the right bloodline now. Frank Walter was the brother of Florence, who has the two illegitimate boys Robert Frank Walter Coenen and Johannes Coenen. Because she did not put her name on the birth certificate (it looks like father of the boys out his legal wife name on with Florence as a middle name) it has been difficult to be really certain this is the right family. But now I am more sure. thank you all again.
