Title: What became of Robert Leslie Scott & who were his parents?

Marriage cert to Yolanda Cromer 1938 states age 27 birth Northcote melb. Parents Robert Scott,Mary
Dwyer residing in Sth Melb but ive been unable to locate a birth cert .Remarried Stella Newsome 1959
Working as a foreman at a Foundry after 1968 seems to disappear.
Any help in finding a birth cert or location after 1968 would be greatly appreciated.

This Death registration is for the above find a grave. But age does not match the one from his marriage.

* what occupation for father Robert SCOTT

* what names for witnesses.

* why is 1968 a reference for his location.....what happened in 1968.

Occupation father Police Constable witnesses Vincent Miles & I think W.Wohs
It was said he left and possibly went to Perth hmmm

I wonder if the couple were living apart in their later years.

She had been there since at least 1963 when she is seen with her husband Rbert Leslie who is a foreman.

There is one Robert Leslie SCOTT in 1980.
Address 84  Clarence Street  Brunswick East. No Occ.

I think one witness on the certificate, can be ruled out as being of any help to you in searching for the parents /family of Robert Leslie SCOTT.

Irene Maud ( nee HAWKE) was the mother of Yolanda Elizabeth Isabel , and she was married to Walter Wallace CROMER.
Irene Maud had a sister, Effie Elizabeth (nee HAWKE) who married Vincent Henry MILES, the witness on the marriage certificate.

So not connected to Robert's side of the union.

Wow thankyou Sue much appreciated. The mystery of where he was for all those years (supposedly Perth) remains as I just learnt he did return and died in Melbourne.
His birth and family also remain a mystery .

Well, a return to Melbourne would fit with the cremation I located, but there is no certainty that it is the right person. I cannot find a death notice. Nor one for Stella

Look again at the Electoral Roll  address in 1980 which I listed for a man of the name.

If you google it, you will see the house. A family home really.
