in yorkshire possibly around the Thirkleby area, there is a possible baptism on
8th november 1797 with a mother 1st name as alice no other information on parents
he died Sept 1858 at thirsk yorkshire england had a son called benjamin b1829
anthony norris married Dinah Shepherd on 28th october 1822
in the 1851 census he was a widower as his wife dinah had died but there was
a hannah shepherd living with him (his late wife dinah sister) hannah was also
living with him and her sister dinah in the 1841 census when dinah was still alive

One of the 1797 baptism images gives this info --
Anthony, son of Alice Norris, spinster, Ingerthorpe
However, another image gives the location as Markington.
Both are near each other, and close to Harrogate.
The 1851 census gives his birthplace as "Marton" which is northeast of Hull.
ADDED
1801 - An Alice Norris (of Ripon) marries a John Pearson (of Kirkby Malzeard)
If we have the correct baptism and mother then I wonder if Anthony's birthplace/childhood home is MASHAM (not Marton, which the enumerator may have heard incorrectly).
Masham is just north of Kirkby Malzeard, and is a better fit for the area in question.
Having said that, there's an 1806 baptism for a Sarah Elizabeth Pearson in Hull. Parents - John and Alice.

Possible, if Anthony’s birth is c1797 and baptism in ripon, then there’s a baptism of a Thomas Norris in 1795 in ripon. Don’t have access to FindMyPast transcript to see who parents are. This Thomas appears with wife and lot of children in 1851 census

The 1795 baptism only gives the father's name: Mr Thomas Norris, Ripon.
1841 census - Thomas & Elizabeth Norris in Binares House, Ripon. He's 70 and listed as "Ind".

There is also Marton le Moor in Topcliffe parish which is not too far from Thirkleby
https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/NRY/Topcliffe/more
And several others
https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/YRY/Where/M
Also as the census is a transcript made by the enumerator it may be worth considering Morton or Murton as variants.
