Newspaper Title: The Knoxville News-Sentinel
Spouse : Maloney Vaughan

I don't know if this is a typo of his name and it should say Ernest?

The obituary reference you found was for a Katherine Vaughan, wife of Ernest W.  https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-knoxville-news-sentinel-obituary-for/156293927/
