Title: Ivy Myrtle Benge & David Haddow

I have come up against a brick wall with this one. The Benge family originates in Kent and has migrated around the world. I am interested in the New Zealand connection as I live in a part of the country where David Benge settled. He and his wife arrived in New Zealand and settled in the Hutt Valley. They had three children with them when they landed here. Their first child born in New Zealand was John Benge, my great-grandfather.

Ivy Myrtle Benge is from another branch of the family that I am currently researching. I have found a report on the wedding of Ivy to David Haddow in 1928 in the Wairarapa region which states that David was from Glasgow, Scotland. As I can find no evidence of death in New Zealand I am wondering if he took Ivy home to Scotland to meet his parents and they chose to stay there. Any help would be most appreciated.

But old listing as they and two children (age 4 & 2)  are on the “Remuera” arrived London 17 Jul 1934

Scotland's people is not a subscription site. You buy credits. It is very reasonably priced.
unfortunately that death is too late to be able to buy an image for instant download (for 6 credits) and you would have to buy the real thing which is much more expensive.

Too many David HADDOWs to help with his death I am sorry
BUT you can see a possible additional child born 1937 - you can see him without ordering the cert (enter mother's maiden name to filter)
