Title: Is it possible to find years of two births (1940s?)?
Post by: Davedrave on Sunday 17 November 24 21:18 GMT (UK)
I wonder if anyone is able to find the years in which two siblings were born, almost certainly in Toronto.

Dave :)

Canada has fairly strict restrictions for vital records and it's unlikely the information will be available online. Considering the dates they might be alive (and names shouldn't be posted here) but if they have died fairly recently you might find obituaries online.

Thanks. I’ve modified my post accordingly, to remove names. I take your point about possibly being still alive.
How very different the law governing such things seems to be in England and Wales.

Dave :)

Even if you knew the full details you are unlikely to get a copy of the certificate-

You may find birth notices in the Toronto papers which are available to search if you want to send me the info you have by PM.
