Title: Surname of Sponsor on 1831 Baptism?
Post by: Wexflyer on Sunday 15 December 24 03:53 GMT (UK)
On the baptism of William Roache, August 27th, 1831, third entry from bottom right, I can't quite make out the surname of the (single) sponsor, Catherine B..... Perhaps Bourke?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Bourke

Ends in "ke". There is no "r" at the end.

That surname is Cosker. A variant/synonym of Cosgrave/Cosgrove.

Looking at the "ur" in "Furlong" on the line below, I'm thinking "Burke".
