From time to time, researchers have helped me track the people involved in the 1875 Lan Colliery Disaster. While I have also found a lot of information, I cannot trace WILLIAM JOHN. The only sound fact I have is that he was fireman at the time of the Lan disaster and faced heavy questioning at the Inquest, which I have researched in detail from archive papers.
Can anyone trace William John with so little information? You all have infinite skills that I don't have. He could have lived in Gwaelod y Garth - Lower Pentyrch, Pentyrch,Taffs Well or Tongwnlais. Please help if you can.
Thank you.

At the inquest William John, fireman, Llan declared he had "been fireman there between three or four years, since the colliery began to send up coal". As the poster has noted, the papers include nowt to help identify which William John.

Thank you to all of you sending me information. I would love to find even more about this man who was so heavily cross examined at the Inquest. Maybe back to the archive papers. the info you have sent will help that search. Grateful. Nx :)
