Would it be possible to look on the 1841 & 51 Burwash Census for a family named Daniel please.I am trying to help someone locate an approximate date when their ancestors emigrated to Canada from Burwash-they think probably the first half of the 19th century. There is only one Daniel(s) family by 1881 & these are not the right people.
I realise that it is quite possible that the name has had the (s) added or subtracted along the way,by the early 1900's it was definitely Daniel.
Thanks

No Daniel in the Burwash 1851 index. There is an Edward Dannells at the Admiral Vernon - presumably a pub - age 21 lodger, rail lab. Born Compton Bassett Wiltshire. HO 107 1639 folio 34

Thanks Andrea,I'm not surprised really.I think the Daniels I found in 1881 was from the same place.I'll have to get the thumbscrews out & see if I can get more information about the Canadian branch.
Much appreciated
