Title: Castle Donnington Baptist Chapel 1892
Post by: Jane Eden on Sunday 16 October 05 15:46 BST (UK)
I am looking for any information on Castle Donnington Baptist Chapel. I have a marriage there in 1892 and can find no reference to it.

Where was it, how big/small was it, when was it there, where can I get access to the records etc.

Any information will be most welcome

Thanks

Jane

Hello. It was on Bondgate in Castle Donington.

The building is still there but it’s no longer used for worship. It’s a fair sized building and you can find images online.

Hello CD1 and welcome to RootsChat.

This is quite an old thread, though I can see that Jane Eden was online here yesterday, so she should receive notification of your post.

For interest, a mention in 1839 that the General Baptist Chapel, Castle Donnington, Leicestershire has been registered for solemnising marriages.
