Post by: Geoff on Wednesday 19 October 05 00:51 BST (UK)
Hi All,

Could I have a look up for Thomas HARLEY please
He resides in Swineshead, Thomas  would be about 80 years old.
He died in 1846.

Cheers

Thomas HARLEY was buried in Swineshead on 13 Oct 1846 age 77.  Kirton Holme is only a mile and a half from Swineshead and had no church of its own as far as I can see.

I think the chap that suepip found was probably the right one.

If Swineshead didn't have it's own cemetery then you maybe right.
Now that I think on it he did have a daughter Elizabeth who would be about 37yrs at the '41 census.
I'll have to look a bit closer at that census listing and use the clues.

Thanks
Geoff

Swineshead had a cemetery/churchyard, Kirton Holme didn't.

The IGI has a Thomas HARLEY bap 23 Feb 1772, Donington in Holland - about 4 miles from Swineshead.

Suffolk Sue & Geoff E

Have both of those, thanks for looking though.
In fact that Elizabeth b 1804 is the one I think maybe Elizabeth BROOM on the census.
Problem is I can only find a marriage for her to a William BRAND not BROOM in 1832 at Swineshead.
Could be a transcription error I suppose, but I'll keep digging.

Cheers
Geoff
