Can anybody help me with Mary Ann Wyatt who was born in King's Sutton about 1851, although it is her mother Hannah who I am interested in.
The 1851 census shows Hannah (birthplace Stow in the Wold Gloucestershire) married to William Wyatt, living in King's Sutton with daughter Mary Ann aged 6 months. However, Hannah Wyatt remarried Joseph Wilkins at King's Sutton in 1853, so I assume that William Wyatt died between 1851 and 1853 - it is a child of her second marriage who is my ancestor.
My quest is to find Hannah's maiden name - the only way I can think of doing that is either through her marriage certificate to William Wyatt, and I don't know if that happened in King's Sutton or Stow in the Wold, or through Mary Ann's birth certificate which I think will be the best bet. But I can find no definite record of either event on www.ancestry or www.familysearch and I have been down very many dead ends.
If anybody has any information on Mary Ann, I will be eternally grateful.
Many Thanks

Sandie,
Very many thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately the marriage at Stow for October 1850 is not the one I am chasing. That is a marriage of William Wyatt to an Elizabeth Lawrence, it is just a nasty coincidence of name and location.
However his death and more especially her birth are super, thanks you very much indeed. It just shows the benefit of local information, being a Yorkshire lad I would never have associated Brackley with King's Norton.
Very many Thanks

A William Wyatt married Hannah Hunt in the Brackley district in the December 1849 quarter. This may be the one you are looking for

The Northants Burial Index shows a burial for William Wyatt of Kings Sutton at Kings Sutton CofE 1852 May 16, died May 12, aged 28.
The Northants Marriages Index only shows Kings Sutton to 1845 so it does not show the details of of the 1849 marriage given by Paul77, though it is listed on familysearch.
The SOG Index of Parish Registers lists the registers of Kings Sutton to be still with the incumbent but it may be that they have arrived at the County Record Office since that book's publication in 1991 ... worth checking.
