At the moment I have three POND males in Cornwall that give their place of birth as Burnham Buckinghamshire. I suspect that they are brothers as they are born early 1800's.

I have Joseph Pond Married to Ann Montague (1729-1799) in 1759 their children as follows
John Pond 1744
Joseph Pond 1760 married to Elizabeth
Francis Pond 1762-1822 married to Sarah Thompson
Ann Pond 1764
There seems to be a big age gap between John and Joseph so there could of been more children which im yet to find.

Thanks Laura ... I'll have to have a look at mine tomorrow (off to bed) ... there appears to be a few born around the same time in Burnham that ended up in Cornwall so think they might be brothers. James POND (going from memory so it might have been John) married a Williams in Talland (or Polperro), he was a teacher (again from memory) their son is my great great grandfather who moved to Kenwyn and married Anne Dungey. great grandfather Sydney and his brother John James came to Western Australia.

Been through everything and the one I need I can't find. I have some .paf files on my pc but I can't open them even though I have .paf 5 on my computer. I think it might be something to do with windows 10. I will have another go tomorrow on my laptop that has XP on it. Not very happy :(

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer.

I have tried everything to open the files, can't do it on XP either. Some are .ged files and are from 2004. Some are older versions of paf and I have paf5. Some are legacy and I don't have that on pc and if I download it I would have the same problem as they will be an older version.
I have always preferred my hard copy system, but started computerised version and had stuff everywhere.

William and James Pond were sons of Daniel Pond and Mary Pinfold. Joshua was the son of Joshua Pond and Ann Theed. There was also a Daniel Pond in Cornwall, in one census it says he was born in Bucks, in another it says Gloucestershire.
There are a lot of Ponds in Burnham in Familysearch. I'll leave it to you to sort them.
