Can anyone help with the occupation of
NELLIE BARKER age 15
SUSANNAH BARKER AGE 25
Both living at Eagle Street, St Andrew Holborn above the bars within St George the Martyr.
Looks like it could start with Black?
Any thoughts
Thanks

Hi
not sure if this is much help but it looks to me like Black ???? lacker if you look just above the writing on the occupations there is a faint word on both which looks like ink, this would be consistant with brother William's occupation of printer.

Thanks for your help. Hadn't thought that it might be something to do with printing coneected to brother and also father was a printer.
Govt. 1901 census has this down as Black bad packer?
Work that one out
Thanks

Could it be Blacklead Packer? Not sure what that is, but isn't blacklead what they used to polish stoves with? Also I think blacklead was what the stuff in pencils was called.
