Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada before Confederation.  1986, by Donald WHYTE.

This is a 4-volume book, available in reference libraries.  I found some of mine here!

There is also a volume called A Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to the USA, pub. 1972 Baltimore, which covers up to 1855.  Reprinted 1981.

You should be able to find these in reference libraries.

"The Emigration website is currently undergoing an update and will be back online as soon as possible.

Scottish Emigration to Canada in 1821

Peter McCulloch on the ship David sponsored by the Spring Bank 1 ( resident of Grahamston /Glasgow) and John Warnock on the ship Commerce sponsored by the Rutherglen Emigration Society ( resident of Rutherglen ). John and Peter were both weavers.

I am looking for information about both of these societies; I have the lists of citizens they sponsored.
