Title: Robert Templeton Girdwood

I have a Robert Templeton Girdwood b. 1882 Ayr marrying Alice Bramwell b. 1883 Ayr. They emigrated in 1913 to Aurora, Illinois, USA.  I've seen various entries on passenger lists which shows they travelled back and forth from US to the UK.  I know they didn't have any children but would be interested to know anything about the Girdwood family.

Hi.  I know yours is an old message, and you probably have the info by now, but if you Google Robert templeton Girdwood,  scroll down a bit, as well as message board posts, you will see more about them.  Finda grave, headstones etc.  Looks interesting. 

 I have Girdwoods in my family line as well, another Richard who went to Montreal, from England and one of his descendants married my grandfathers sister.  I don't see any connection with your Ricard in my info though.  But, who knows, I guess it's all about how far back it goes.

That old world gets smaller every day. Good luck with your searches.
