I'm looking for Carrington Culf/Culph, possibly Chattisham/Hadleigh area but could be anywhere!
You wouldn't think I could lose someone with a name like that but he seems to have gone walkabout after the birth of a child in 1828 in Birmingham. He was married to Martha at that time......but there's a birth on IGI with parents Carrington Culf & Ann in 1833 Hadleigh,Suffolk. He was born in Chattisham c.1891.

Hi alnat
I cannot find a Carrington CULF\CULPH in Suffolk, but I did find this chap in Essex. Too old possibly?
The 41 does not record relationships within families, marital status or exact place of birth. It only indicates whether or not someone was born in the census county. Adult ages are often rounded down to nearest 5.

Thanks for that Rick. It gives me something to think about.
Carrington did have a son William who was born 1816 but he was in Sheffield with wife Ann in 1841.
I think I can say if it's not 'my' Carrington Culf it must be a relative!
