Hi all,
I'm looking for these people in 1871 Census, as follows:
William Burdin, DOB c1847, Farnsfeild, Nottingham.
wife:
Louier Burdin, DOB c1847, Chesterfield, Derby.
I ask for a lookup here in Derby, because I have them down in Bolsover on the 1881 Census. although their first child was born in New Wittinton, Derby.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jim.

Just joined rootschat and have a great deal of information on the Burden, later Burdin family. William was born in Farnsfield in 1846. His father was John Burden who was born in Southwell in 1814, the son of Samuel Burden and Elizabeth Richmond. John was married twice, once in Oxton, Notts to Elizabeth Bennett and was living in Oxton in 1841. His wife died in Farnsfield in April 1845 after giving birth to twins, both children died within one month of birth. John remarried in Southwell in 1846 and, at the time, was an agricultural labourer. William did marry Louisa Broomhead in Whittington parish church on 17 February 1868. He was a founding member of staff at Langwith colliery where he worked as a blacksmith. He was my great grandfather. Hope that helps.

Chatsworth,
Many thanks for your interest, but since my post the person, a Joyce Booler nee BURDIN B1918 has passed away, she was the mother of my sister in law Annette Hendry nee Booler who married my Brother, originall I'd did this research for Annette, and all data I had on my tree's I forwarded to her, lately and unfortunately I have since deleted the Burdin/Burden data from my ancestry and G.R tree's, even so I shall forward your data to Annette.
Thanks again,
Regards,
Jim.
