Wow! Found your post on my second search on here!
My grandfather married the stortz' daughter.

Sorry for late reply, but hectic few days....I have been researching my Stortz family for 14 years but cannot find any connection to the people on the marriage cert, which I don,t think I have,It was quite a few years ago that I sent for the cert, and I cant find it ...sorry.I wont have destroyed it but cant think where it can be.I had a Charles Stortz in my tree of the same age but different person.Your Charles was a customs officer and he and family went to Australia in the early 20th cent.Do you know where in Germany Charles Father Bernard came from..area or town, as I have my German Stortz back to the 16th cent. so there could be a connection somewhere as it isn,t a common name.

Thanks so much for getting back to me, my stortz connection is a little tragic, my grandfather married Charles daughter Beryl, she died from food poisoning within 3years of marriage. So I'm basically researching for his benefit. I can't find any connections/trees that refer to stortz in Australia. How do I send you my email safely?

Hello,
I've just found this website and noted your connection to Charles Stortz.
Do you have the certificate you mentioned for marriage of Charles and Catherine?
I am a descendent of Charles Stortz born in Germany, moved to Australia. Not sure when.
I thought they had two children Winifred born in Uk 1909 and Gwendoline (my paternal grandmother) born 1923.
I am not sure if Beryl is a sister? I also saw somewhere there was a Sydney Stortz?
I'd be grateful for any further information.
Thank you,
Nicole

Hello again,
I spoke with my dad's cousin today and found out Beryl Stortz was my Nan's sister!
Charles and Catherine had four children Winifred, Sydney, Beryl and Gwendoline (my Nan)
I understand I need to make 3 public posts before I can send a message is that correct?
Thank you
Nicole

Hello Nicole, I have very little experience with Rootschat and haven't seen these updates. Have you got the certificate? I haven't purchased it as its my grandfathers first wife, and i have lots of other certificates that i need to purchase first, i was hoping for a freebee cause its not a direct line.
Im on ancestry and family search if you'd like to find me. I'll see if i can find you.
