Hi,
Can anyone help I am looking for my G Grandfather and cannot. His name is James Hawkins born 14/12/1870 died 1948. On his marriage cert it states his father was henry andrew hawkins an Engine driver. I believe he was from Strood kent area.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

The best bet for Henry HAWKINS in 1861 living with his widowed mother , Eleanor, born Seaford, Sussex.
He's 26, a pawnbroker's assistant born Kingsland, Middx
brother James 13 born Stepney
sister Elizabeth 17 born Stepney
Living 54 & 55 Woolwich Rd Woolwich

Do you know who James married as this might help track in down in later census?

Thanks for the reply, James married in 1917 aged 46 in Sheffield. This is correct because his grave stone says died 1948 aged 77 years. He married a Rosa Twyman in Sheffield it says he is a bachelor.
