Hi,
I have someone on an 1841 census age 50, how would I go about tracing the parents of this person other than going to the parish for records are there and internet sites with records that old or anyone on rootschat with a disc of info that goes back to 1791 in Wiltshire??
I am looking for Thomas Sandle born in Wiltshire Eisey around 1791
Any help wiht this would be much appreciated
:D

I checked the BIVRI and found the following which could be your Thomas:-
Christening - Thomas Sandall - 29th September, 1793 at Eisey, Wiltshire.
Father - John Sandall
Mother - Mary Sandall

Thank you snowgoose, perhaps that could be him, I thought Eisey had a very small population so any Sandle's there must be connected some how?!
The spelling of the name keeps changing on all different documents, its either Sandell Sandel Sandle or Sandall!!??
Are the many Sandle's on the BIVRI?

The IGI at www.familysearch.org also has Eisey christenings, among which other children christened to this couple. Ffor some reason, Thomas is not on it though.
Have a look here:

There are 647 Sandle names listed in the Births/Christenings on the BIVRI, 184 of them are in Wiltshire but Thomas is the only one listed for Eisey :)
The years range from 1547 -1916

Looks like it is him then,
Could I be cheeky and ask for names of others born in Eisey?
Thank you for the help ;D
