Just been struck by a sudden brainwave and as I was replying to a post. How about a game called World of Rootschat. You know where you play the role of detective etc ..... and have to search various worlds or towns cities on quests for the various scrolls, parish registers census info etc. Collect gold and trade it to see images of ancestors etc. Any thoughts?

Yes, You are given the task to find a name in a certain year, but its been mistranscribed so badly - that for 10 points you can call for help from the census decoder to get your answer, ::) ::)

I like it. How about skills for learn latin and names of counties or even villages, where to look and how to decipher!

talking of decyphering codes - just press the help icon on the Rootschat header-- what are all those symbols meant to be next to the welcome thumbs up. :o :P

Do you think with the aid of graphic manipulation technolgy software we can morph or render rootschat in 3D and add a game engine?

Oh no! Even more addictive than ancestor hunting is already! How about having to travel along the routes people took, collecting clues on the way? And you could have bonus points if you can find out free info rather than having to pay ;D

Oh, oh, oh, yes please, me too ;D...You could get a penalty everytime you incorrectly adopted someone who wasn't yours...I do that all the time :( ;D...err no hang on that means I'm bound to loose...might have to rethink this one :( ;D

The symbols by the welcome thumbs up are the code that some enumerators used when compiling the censuses.
Can I have 20 points for this?
Half Pint

What codes? :-\
Great Idea. Better patent it quick, case Waddington's are watching.
