Title: Weymouth and the Earls of Lichfield
Post by: hawkinob on Thursday 02 March 06 12:05 GMT (UK)
Hi.
Did the Earls of Lichfield have a residence at Weymouth?. I have a coachman (DUN(C)KLEY) who seems to have travelled around in his employment (surprising?), but seriously he seems to have taken his family too as his children were born all over the place. I'm interested in a Henry DUN(C)KLEY born around 1840/41 in Weymouth to Henry (the coachman) and Ann (nee Williams) DUN(C)KLEY.
I would like to search the 1841 Census for the area but before doing so would like to find out if I could narrow the search by establishing whether or not the Lichfields had property in Weymouth. Their main place was in Staffordshire.
Thank you for any assistance.
