You are an absolute gem
I am sure the mother must have married again, she was young enough, lets hope she found happiness.
That leaves Winnifred and Edith, one of these daughter married Elroy Taylor, I am sure that is where the connection is.
Elroy came to England about 1968, both he and his wife, Edith, were lovely people, I am wondering if it was Edith Maniger who eventually married Elroy, they lived in Toronto.
Strange how she changed her name to Maniger, her first husband was under the name of Maniger on the 1901, I found him in the Queen Victoria hospital Southampton on that census and his wife was in Essex.
It is really looking interesting now, hugely thanks to you.

take care

Dear Karen
Thank you very much, that is good information to tie up one family member, yes the place born was WALTHAMSTOW, it was Essex in those days. Eleanor a witness was her sister don't know about the other one
As I said before, Henry Thomas was originally Edermaniger, would have been very difficult to have discovered this, he was on 1901 as Maniger, wonder why they changed it, wonder if anyone else is looking for them?.
Thank you once again.

Dear Karen
Once again Karen you have come up with some wonderful news.

Witness to Caroline Maniger's marriage LOUIS BISANEY, well that proves he was in Canada at that date, he seems to be very evasive, never found his birth supposedly in England.

A HUGE THANK YOU Karen once again, I do appreciate what you have done, I do hope you are not out of pocket with expenses, if so I would like you to PM me.

best regards

Louisa Maud

Hi Louisa Maud,

I was excited too when I saw Louis was a witness!

There is no expense, everything is free at the library.

Well Karen
I can see you truly have this genealogy bug, once caught it is difficult to get rid of.
You have obviously started this at a young age, how I wished I had and I could have probably solved all of the gaping holes  I have now , all unanswered, but I must admit with your help you have darned a few   holes for me, many thanks once again.
I have found the whole Canadian search exciting, and as you say it was exciting to see Louis as a witness.
I am hoping to get to Kew by coach and look at the passports and perhaps find out exactly when they all sailed  to Canada. Two of the sisters weren't very lucky in Canada, they both were widowed, Adelaide Bisaney came home to marry again and Caroline Maniger went on to marry again in Canada .
Thank you once again
Take care

regards

What about the other sister Sarah?  Do you know anything about her?

Yes, I started young, but everyone died when I was to young, so unable to ask any questions.  I do wish I could have 10 mins alone with each of my grandparents, especially my mum's father, if I could just find where he was born!!

Sarah Coveney was born 1890 in Westminster London, to date I haven't found out about her, in fact originally I thought it might have been her who went to Canada, it was only when I found Louis Bisaney's death on the war graves commission that I started to delve further, I have more delving to do here I think, unless of course Sarah  did go to Canada with her sisters Adelaide and Caroline. It is strange how it is all coming together in a way that no one else even knew about, all we knew was Edith was my father in laws cousin, she was married at sometime to Elroy Taylor in Canada, that was all I or my husband knew. I suppose at some stage, Winifred born in Toronto 1907, and Edith Adelaide born England 1905, must have married at sometime in Canada.
Do you think your grandfather was born in England?, can I help you  find him?.

I'm still waiting on the mircofilm for Eleanor's marriage to come in as well.

Thanks for the offer about my grandfather.  My mum always said he said he was born in New York State, but he didn't seem to tell the truth on a few documents that I have.  Sometimes he said he was American other Canadian, I think cause he married my grandmother he thought that gave him automatic Canadian Status  ;D  I'm waiting on their marriage certificate from the Province of Ontario so I'll see what he has to say for himself there.

Hi Karen
That was a nice surprise this morning to open up your email.
Looking at my records the parents of Jesse Stilwell were Thomas and Harriett nee Cooper unless I have it incorrectly, perhaps they were cousins.
I am still interested in Edith who married Elroy Taylor but I have no idea when,

I saw your massage re father's name on certs, I have a cert and   on her birth there is no father shown but then when she married there is a name of a father that I can't find and has nothing to do with any other name in the family, something we will never know, also my Violet Bisanay never used that name, she always used the name of her mother's second marriage,  it gives us something to think about though doesn't it.

Once again many thanks Karen

regards

Louisa Maud
