Hi,
Ellen McGlaughlin was my paternal grandmother. I am trying to find her birth certificate online but as yet no luck. She left Ireland, I can´t remember when, and married my grandfather Hugh Rohan.
I would love to hear from anyone on the same search on the McGlaughlin family. Also any help on tracking down her birth certificate would be very welcome.

Hello elfBones,
Before we look for the family, is your Ellen who marries Hugh Ronan, the same Ellen who is mentioned in the initial post - daughter of Charles and Bridget?

Apologies, I didn’t welcome you. I am sure you will enjoy the site. :)

If it is the same Ellen, then here's her birth cert on 6.12.1886 in Dungloe

Hello Heywood,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, my Ellen McGlaughlin is the the daughter of Charles McGlauglin and Bridget McGlauglin(nee Gorman.)

That’s better Sinann. I think the OP opened the link but didn’t identify the entry.
-
Thanks all. I found the entry! And it is my Grandmother.
-
Hi,
So my next question is! Having found the entry of my grandmother’s birth how can I order a copy of her birth certificate?
Many thanks for your help.

A photocopy at 4 euros will be a copy of what you see online.
You can purchase an official certificate though - see Option 2
-
An Official Cert will just be on fancy paper with official stamp. There won't be anything new to learn from it, just down load the online cert or take a screen print or sniping tool capture of it.
