I have traced my Panton ancestors back to my 3 x Great Grandfather James Panton who married Ann Dalglish at St Giles, Camberwell in 1808. Since then my branch of the Panton family lived in Deptford/Woolwich/Greenwich areas of London. It was only when the 1851 census came on line that I discovered James was born in Swindon in about 1778.
Any information on the Panton family from the Swindon area of Wiltshire would be appreciated
