Title: Bromfield

I am researching John Bromfield who married Sarah Blackburn.  Address lived at was New House Farm Symondsbury.  John died 02/12/1905 aged 75 and is buried with Sarah who died 1504/1919 at Symondsbury.  Their children are Martha 1857, Elizabeth 1858, Sarah 1859, Mary 1860, John 1863, William 1864, Emily 1866, Julia 1870, Rose 1871, Laura 1873 and Frederick 1875 (bit unsure about the last two and I am tempted to add uncle Tom Cobbly and all.  Did they have nothing better to do?)

I am struggling to trace Johns birth or Christening.  The census advises his birthplace as Upottery.  The only John I can trace is the base born child of Betty Bromfield Christened 29 June 1799.  The only Betty I can trace is born to Sarah Bromfield Christened 30 April 1775. 

Has anyone come across any Bromfields in Upottery and may know something more of John roots?  Many thanks. ???

There is another John Bromfield,christened 30th August 1829,Upottery, parents John & Susan Bromfield.
