Hello Pughy
I have had a look on the IGI for Edward but there doesn't appear to be a record with a birth year of about 1807. What other information do you have that has enabled you to put Edward's year of birth as c1807? Have you found him on the census returns?

Hi Jan
I am new to this and I did not know how much info to put in but I now realize that I should put in everything sorry for messing you about.
Yes I did find Edward Davies b abt 1807 on the 1851 Census for Neston [Wirral] Cheshire living with his wife Charlotte Owens b abt 1820 Greenfield Flintshire with their children.
I also found their marriage on the Cheshire Parish Register Project they
married in 1844 Neston St Mary & St Helen Church on the Marriage registration it had Edwards fathers name as Edward.
Charlotte Owens father name as William
To recap I am looking for Edwards fathers date and place of birth.
His mothers name place of birth and date.
Sorry for messing you about

You are not messing me about!!!! Far from it........we were all beginners once ;) You are doing fine.
For a birth in 1807, before Civil Registration began in 1837, you will need to look at parish registers for a baptism. There will be no birth certificate.
Microfilm copies of the Kerry (Ceri) Parish registers are held at the National Library of Wales in Aberyswyth:

You will have to request a look up and just hope that someone will be going there in the near future.

HI Jan
Is it possible to have a search done by one of the staff at the
National Library of Wales by one of their staff.?

Hi Pughy
I think it would best if you phone the Library and ask if they offer a research service, and how much it will cost.
Good luck,
Jan

Hi Pughy
I think they do but charge a fee - you'd have to check how much etc.
I like the picture Jan :)
