Mary ann spence wife of thomas fisher 25/02/1902 age 80

christina spence27/08/1877 age 73

robert spence aug 1780

These are the only spences I know you didn't mention any of these but as there are only 3 thought i would give them anyway you might find a conetion to them as your research progresses.

Hi Leslie,
I am interested in the Creak family and I understand there are 3 in the Eccles burial place.
Perhaps one is Thomas Creak who died in 1849.
Any info would be of great interest. He was a farmer and he also owned land in Temple. It is a rare name in Scotland and all 3 are probably related.
My Great Grandmother X was a Creak from Temple.

Hi Maggie
Thank you very much for your reply.
I really dont think my Ralph Allan wishes to be found, I cannot find out anything about him other than he was a shepherd and married Isabella Swan at Eccles in 1787. Have not found any connection to the Allans you sent, just the ones at Birgham.
Once again thanks
John

I have a Helen Allan who married Alexander Creak in Eccles in November 1765. I dont yet have any details on Helen Allan but Eccles was a small village. So she was born perhaps circa 1740?.
I understand that land tax payers are in the same booklets as the Inscriptions and may help which families lived where?

Morning Lesley - Thank you for your search of any other Creaks - I am trying to find Helen Dickson daughter of James Dickson and Margaret Bruce - I believe she was the first wife of  the Thomas Creak   in your April 10th reply - I cannot find any marriage record for them - I have found three children born to them but none is the Helen Dickson Creak mentioned in the MI for Thomas Creak - is there any MI's for any of  these James or Margaret nee Bruce or daughter Helen Dickson -
I would appreciate any little bit of info you have

Hi Leslie,

I have the Creak transcriptions and have found out that the maternal side traces back to the ancient family of Spottiswood or Spotswood through Barbara Spotswood. I understand very little remains of the old Spottiswood Castle and later Mansion.
I was wondering if there are any inscriptions with this name in probably Westruther.

Hello Norma

Thank you so much for that, that William is the one i was hoping for, i could make out tenant and Birgham, but no birth or death. they were a very unlucky family Elizabeth was only 24 when she died and daughter Mary only 16 followed by William a few years later, of consumption.

Thank you, greatly appreciated.
