From your South Australian indexes (birth & marriages) please would you be able to give me an indication of how many are listed under the surname BEMI? I have all of those listed on NSW but I have a lot of gaps and later addresses from service records indicate they are resident in Queensland. I would like to know if it is worth me paying for a search of the Queensland records. I am happy to pay for this reseach as long as I know I am not on a while goose chase. Really appreciate your help.

Wife Mary Ann CUSHWAY born: 18 Mar 1794 London England
Married: 1 Oct 1820 London England.
Child: Henry B BEMI born: 29 Dec 1833. London England
Died: 27 May 1882 Queensland.
Married: 5 Apr 1858 London.
Ann BURT born: 14 May 1839 London
NOTE:
Immigrated to Australia with his wife and 2 eldest children
William and Mary Anne on the ship 'Saldanha' in 1862.
Originally settled in Maryborough, then Ipswich, then went goldmining in Woolgar.
Killed in a mining accident in 1882.

Thansk for the information. John Lawrence Bemi is the brother of Peter Louis Bemi (the family I am researching). I have 2 children, Emma (from 1828 census) and his son, Alfred Napoleon. I have Alfred Napoleon's chlidren:
Lizzie J, 1853
Alfred E, 1856
Marion G E, 1859
William L, 1863
Blanche E, 1863
Clara, 1868
but I can't find marriages or deaths for any of these children . Any ideas?

try this then put in the name BEMI and AUSTRALIA the click search and it will come up with the person that has done John BEMI from QUEENSLAND ok I think it will work

There are five entries on the National Archives website for the name of Bemi and on the Embarkation Roll for Edward Lawrence Bemi.
