For some reason I can't make a reply in the Help with Coolgardie research thread, so I just wanted to thank you guys for the help. The links were great and a distinct possibility. I have sent the links to John's grandson for him to follow up on his end, as he is the one in Australia. Although I have just "met" him, I feel so strongly about helping him. It must be strange to now have your family traced back to the early 1800s and not be able to find your grandfather. And who knows, maybe he (and I) have more family out there, due to a second marriage.
Again, thanks so much. As I have said before, this is the best site with the best people on it.
