Is there anyone out there who would be kind enough to look up the name McLEMAN in their MI booklet for either Suddie (1), Rosemarkie (4) or Fortrose (3).
I have the Old Avoch Churchyard MI booklet where there are 24 McLemans but would like to have the inscriptions of these others, if possible.
The numbers in brackets are the number of McLemans buried in that particular cemetery.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only James McLeman we have in our Tree was born in Avoch on Feb. 6, 1794 - parents being William McLeman & Margaret Leitch.
I'm sure somewhere down the path there is a connection. My James was one of 10 children of the above. Torrygirl

Hi Torrygirl
I've got the Suddie MI book and the McLeman entry in it is as follows:
"In loving memory of Alexander Macleod died 20th December 1957 aged 87 years, husband of Janet McLeman. Until the day break."
I've also got the MI books for Kilmuir and Killearnan on the Black Isle - I've checked these too and there aren't any McLemans recorded in these.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't believe this particular Janet McLeman is in my Tree, but hopefully it might help others.
