Title: Look up 1841 census of Stanton Drew Ralph Sims/Simms

Hello

Could some kind person look up the 1841 census for Ralph Sims/Simms b 1831 Stanton Drew, Somerset. He is living with his parents  who are possibly Ralph Sims/Simms and Sarah.
In the 1871 census of Worcester Ralph gives his birth place as Stanton Drew, Somerset.

Thank you so much for the lookup, I appreciate your effort.

I did find Ralph and Sarah on  the 1861 census still living in Stanton Drew with no children at home, they being aged 77 & 76 respectfully.

I haven't been on rootschat  for a while.

Been a number of years since I've been searching for this Family.

Update of Ralph Simms / Sims/Sims and wife Sarah of Stanton Drew. Surname as Sines.

In the 1861 census Sarah's Birth place given as Pensford, Somerset. (Family Search). They are living at Upper Stanton Drew Road, Stanton Drew.


Sarah's maiden name is either Owens, bap 12/7/1787 St Thomas, Pensford, Somerset.
Father: Owen (surname only)
Mother: Mary
or
Sarah Merrick bap 16/10/1785 St Thomas, Pensford  Somerset.
Father: Thomas Merrick
Mother: Ann

These are the only two that seem to fit.

Would love to hear from Roger Weaver regarding this family.

I cant find a Marriage for Ralph to either if those Sarahs.

Ralph/Sarah Baptised St Mary, Stanton Drew;
NANCY 7 May 1815
WILLIAM 08 Jun 1817
ELIZABETH 16 Jan 1820
ANN 16 Feb 1823
WILLIAM 23 Mar 1828
RALPH 13 Jun 1830
SAMUEL 20 Oct 1833

Earlier children Independant Chapel Chelwood;
JAMES 20 Jan 1809, Father Ralph, abode Publow
JOHN 10 Jan 1811, Parents Ralph/Sarah, abode Stanton

You probably have all of this but its good to have all childrens names to establish possibles for Parents.

Why Chelwood?

Working/living in the area possibly?

There are also a few Simms/Symms etc Bapt there.

Non conformists. Family connection?

Ralph Snr seems to be Bapt there (seems to fit);
Ralph Davis SYMMS 02 Jun 1786, Father JOHN, abode Stanton
Several children to John there, some have Mother as Elizabeth  and John a Shoemaker
