Hi
Hugh Watt and Elizabeth Gilchrist are my Step-mum's 4th great uncle and aunt. Can I get a copy of that certificate? I'm most curious about the irregular marriage. Plus what compeare before the sepion means.

Hi Landales.

Might read something like "appear before the (kirk) session".

As it is before 1855, there would be no marriage certificate, but sounds like these exists an entry in the parish records (available online from the usual site).
