Intrested to Hear from anybody with "ELLOTT"" spelling surname as trying to trace spread and history,origin of name.

Just a wee note of caution - it took me an eternity to find my Elliott's in 1901 - the individual transcribing the information from the original image read it as Ellrott - no dot over the 'i' so was transcribed in error.  Thought you my be interested - is the surname definitely Ellott?
