Title: Chris in 1066 Off line
Post by: Chris in 1066Land on Friday 28 April 06 23:57 BST (UK)
Hi Rootschatters

Sorry, but I am wearing my other hat this weekend.

I will be at Michelem Priory, Nr Hailsham in Sussex for the Celtic Weekend.

For the next 3 days I will be cooking Wild Boar Stew, Venison Stew and Vegetable Stew in an iron pot over an open fire as well as baking Roman Spelt Bread in a reproduction Iron Age Oven.

If you are that way this weekend, please call in and introduce yourself - I will definitely give you something to eat. - old traditional ingredients though.

Back on Tuesday

Title: Re: Chris in 1066 Eastwood family

Hello Chris:

This is actually a reply to your 2008 post on your wife's Eastwood family.

I am interested in the Rev. Jonathan Eastwood's possible relationship to the Eastwood family of Chesterfield, that manufactured train cars, etc. I see Jonathan's family is from the Meltham area of Yorkshire but he then moved down to the Sheffield/Derbyshire area to a new parish when he married his wife, a Dixon whose family was from that area.  But I'm wondering if he already had contacts in that area through being related or known to the Eastwood family from Chesterfield.

Thank you very much for considering this esoteric question. I believe the Rev. Eastwood's descendants Helen and Laura are living now, but I'm not sure how to contact them.

Best regards,

Joan Leopold
