Hi
Can anyone find a Thomas Halliman on the 1871 census in the Hartlepool area.
Age around 39/40.
Also can anyone find a Jane Ann Christopher on the same census.
May be in either the Hartlepool or Hutton Henry.
Born 1858, in Hutton Henry.
Many Thanks,
Colleen

I know it is awful...her two children are the big msytery tho.
Her children were born in hartlepool, under the surname Halliman.
They are on the census tho as Christopher and she is unmarried...what is even more bizarre is I can find no marriage for her to a Halliman neither...she married a John Ridsdale in 1882, but nothing for a Halliman.
I searched for Halliman deaths in Hartlepool and the only one that tallyed was a Thomas Halliman, the one I asked you to check.
It could be he is the father, she went for older men by the look of it as John Ridsdale was 30 years older than her...but this Thomas Halliman was married.
I was hoping to find a link between them both but there is nothing!

I see both the children were born in Elwick ?
