I am trying to find any Liverpool Directories for 1860-1873 that might mention William Morris 'Professor of Music' in Liverpool around that time
Thanks to anyone who can help

Hi Gill,
He should be listed in the Gores Directory, I'll be going to the library again next Monday, let me know if you want me to look for him.
I've just posted you a message about the marriage certificate.

Viv.

Hi Gill,
Firstly, I could only find a William Morris, Professor of Languages between 1859-1864, the addresses were 45 Lissant Street, and then he moved to 50,Squires Street, Edge Hill.. I found no Morrises between 1864-1867, but then I found Tom Morris, 22 Plumpton Street between 1867-1871.
Then there was Tom Morris and William Morris both at 22, Plumpton Street, between 1871-1873.
Tom and William are both listed as Professor sof Music, don't know whether they're two different people or whether William had two Christian names and used the two of them to advertise himself.
I'm sending the copy of the certificate through on your e-mail address.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Viv.
