Hello,
After receiving very helpful replies for my Toms query, I thought I might try three others in my family that died in Ontario between the years 1898-1911. I am interested if their deaths are findable and what information they might contain.
Phoebe (Betsey) JACKSON, daughter of Cornelius, born 1837 in Ontario; died in Oct 1898 in Jarvis, Haldimand.
William JACKSON, son of Robert, born 1833 in Scarborough; died in 1904. It was either in Jarvis or possibly the Walpole (Haldimand or Norfolk?) area, as that is where he is found in 1901.
One longshot, because I do not know the date of her death, is Sarah Ann (Hambleton) JACKSON.
Sarah Ann JACKSON, daughter of Septimus, born 1863 in Jarvis; is listed on 1901 census in Walpole, Haldimand/Norfolk, but is not to be found in 1911.
Any help on any or all of these would really help me with a part of my family that I do not know much about.

Not having luck finding William, was he born in Scarborough, Ontario? Are you positive he died in 1904?

That is what my information says, that he was born in Scarborough, Ontario 23 Feb 1833. I also have 7 Jan 1904 as his death or burial date, but have not noted a place.
You know what, in 1906 his son had moved to Saskatchewan after his wife Sarah (who you've found for me) died. There is always the possibility that he actually went with his son and grandchildren, and died before 1906.
So I think we can call off the search! ;) Now I will have to have a look west...
